PRACTICE COMMUNITY

The Global Labor Sector Analytic Initiative (GLaSAI) has drawn upon a wide array of development practitioners, diplomats, labor rights specialists, labor lawyers, labor and international trade economists, civil society actors, academics from numerous disciplines, and labor sector implementing partners, to develop the integrated conceptual framework, technical tools, and country assessments accessible through this website. The dialogue that contributed to the GLaSAI findings has demonstrated there is a broad and diverse community with a stake in advancing research on the interrelated elements of labor sector development, indicating the rich potential of a shared knowledge bank and space for collaboration and research on these issues. The technical contributions presented on the GLaSAI website will hopefully serve to provoke greater emphasis on labor sector foreign assistance and a greater sense of cohesion and self-identity among a labor sector community of practice.
